Desktop Monster developer David Clark shortlisted for Young Professionals Award

Cloud-hosted desktop solution Desktop Monster® is thrilled to announce that its developer-in-chief David Clark has been shortlisted for an Insider Young Professionals Award 2017.


A product of the Midshire® group, Desktop Monster is an innovative hosted desktop product that allows businesses to share and access their files securely from a centralised place.


Joining Midshire’s Stockport office as Senior IT Consultant in November 2013, Dave spearheaded the entire Desktop Monster project, from conception to launch, and the wider Midshire product portfolio. Initially being brought in to launch the company’s IT business with Phil Marshall, the IT Manager at the time.


Dave has been recognised for his IT contributions with a spot on the highly coveted Young Professionals Awards shortlist. The awards celebrate the success of young business talent across the North West region, and are given by Insider, a leading UK business-to-business media company.

Aside from developing Desktop Monster from the ground up, Dave has confirmed Midshire as a licensed Citrix and Microsoft provider, built and launched Midshire’s IT services, and established major profitable partnerships with global IT suppliers as DataOn and DoubleTake.

Dave’s passion and commitment to Midshire’s IT services has led to various award wins. Desktop Monster was recognised as ‘Best Technology Product’ at the Talk of Manchester Awards in 2016, whilst Midshire won ‘Best SME Support Company.’

The winners this year will be announced at the awards evening being held at the Lowry Hotel in Manchester on the 20th of April.
